The victims of the hurricane aren't the naked pitiable creatures Teresa would make them out. They have energy, resources, and plenty of help from the Federal Government (as they should). They will recover.

I am from Mobile. I lived on Mobile Bay from 1993 through 1998. I went through four hurricanes, including Hurricane Mitch.

I know the people of South Alabama on a first hand, first name basis.

They may be redneck. But they ain't neked! And they ain't gonna vote for Kerry. Nor do they want any handouts from Teresa heiney Heinz

I would be astonished if anyone in Alabama today is running around naked.

Me too.

But do you think that is reason enough for Teresa to harrass volunteers and tell them their efforts are wasted?

DMA, The people of Alabama aren't like the city slickers in the NE, or the southern west coast. They are self sufficient, and know how to take care of themselves, and their loved ones. They may get hurt, but they ain't gonna lay down and play dead. I admire them.
