I would have expected his ratings to rise as people following Rathergate tuned in, just to see if he said anything about it.

I agree. While I have not watched the network news for over a decade, I have actually been tuning in to watch Rather this week.

Rasmussen's tracking poll now has Bush up 49.3% to 44.7%. Rather has to be responsible for a portion of that. Please Dan, stand firm for another week.

I guess these new viewers were far outnumbered by disgusted old-fashioned network news viewers who quit watching.


Even more surprising when you realize the average age of Rather's audience is 60. Bret Humes audience is 36. Old farts like me don't like to change.
