we need oil for at least next twenty years. we are killing for oil but are trying to protect our rights to the source of supply vs terrorists taking over and shutting down our economy.

in the mean time perhaps you could write to your congressman to get the energy bill passed.

I pretty much agree with what you posted. However, this line has me perplexed

<<We do not need to kill others or have our own people killed for oil. >>

Who were we killing on 9/11 when our country was attacked and our people were killed? Doesn't seem odd that the very people benefiting from our oil usage supported and funded Islamic terrorists that killed our people?

The Energy Bill that Bush has mentioned time and time again, hasn't been passed by Congress. Alternative energy sources will take time and money....lots of money. I personally think that we will have alternative sources within 50 years.

However, we are living today!! Can you even imagine what would happen if tomorrow the terrorists take over all the oil fields world wide?????

Everything would stop. Period.
Including jobs. Transportation of food and supplies. Everything would stop.
