it seems like your whole point is to convince people that they should feel some sort of appreciation for what america offers. i agree that there are some unique benefits to a people who populate a large new land that was only recently(on a relative basis) stolen from the prior inhabitants by the founding fathers and others and whose citizens have only had so far a little over 200 years to f*ck things up as bad as many other parts of the world where people have had much longer to f*ck things up. those who are equipped to exploit those benefits may have an easier time doing so than in other places, like maybe china (not neccessarily true anymore), but for how long?

anyway, none of this has occurred for the benefit of you, other immigrants, or those born here. it's just the current set of circumstances you happen to enjoy and its merits are subjective.

btw, i was not born here either
