Hopefully a resourceful reporter is checking out Dan Rather's daughter's activities with the Democrats in TX. According to a resident she has been an operative of the TX Democrats for many yrs. If she was "used" to hand the documents to her father it would explain Dan Rather's reluctance to divulge names. In addition if Burkett is an acquaintance of Rather's daughter, the plot thickens.

Burkett and the DNC? LOL. Wishful thinking by the rightwing. Sure maybe some Democrat offered Burkett encouragement but so what? Bushies were all over the SMearvets garbage and that was all falsehood and lies. This is different. This is all true. Burkett did what any good American would do if he witnessed a crime. But he was too afraid to go to the authorities so like in "3 Days Of The Condor" he went to 60 MINUTES, the single most credible truth-telling show on TV. Shame on the rightwing for slandering 60 MINUTES and trying to blame this on the DNC. BTW: Everyone in the know knows all about Bush's file cleansing and AWOl status. The mainstream media is just starting to report it years later. Now we need to know too about Cheney's energy papers and the phony energy crisis of 2000-2001.
