Isn't it amazing to have an entire Presidential campaign that focuses on things that happened 30 years ago?

I think there were too many warts in Kerry's service records for him to use it as the centerpiece of his campaign. He would have been much better off promoting his senate record (even if it is vacant) and running as the not-Bush candidate. His monumental blunder was going 90% on Nam.

Bush is running on terrorism and the evolving economy (with tax cuts). He has a record as president he is defending. Bush's service is only topical because Kerry's campaign centerpiece, VietNam hero, is taking hits.

This country is going to hell, because the left decided some time ago that they would prevail, by hook or by crook.

I've had enough exposure and dealings with DC liberals having grown up and lived there most of my life to know that they have read Machiavelli and have taken him to heart, figuratively speaking, of course.
