No, like I said, you have to think about what has happened in the last 10 years:
* the rise of Osama, who targeted the U.S. because of our troops in Saudi Arabia
* the failure of Camp David and the start of the intifada against Israel and our staunch support of Israel
* the daily replay of the effect of sanctions on the children of Iraq on Arab TV, as well as the effect of our depleted uranium all over Iraq from the first gulf war

These and many other things started to accelerate the hatred among Arabs against the U.S. Osama harnessed this hatred and funneled it towards building a terrorist army, which he then used against us on multiple occassions.

The timing of 9/11 was not coincidence. It was the result of a build up of events over the previous 10 years. Once that cauldron boiled over, we have been scrambling to react ever since.
