Tencusatsu, I'm not a big fan of hate-crime laws, since like Bush said, any crime is a hate crime. Good point. Hate crime laws are ridiculous, and, IMO, unconstitutional from the point of view of the victim (even though i recognize that most laws look at things from the point of view of the criminal). From the point of view of the victim, the victims of non-"hate" crimes don't have the same protection under the law. Whatever goes through the mind of a person is his, and only his business. If there is or should be any kind of protection of privacy, it should be privacy of ones thoughts. How a person acts on whatever bases (his thoughts or thoughtlessness, anger, influence of alcohol / drugs) if a fair game and actions should be judged / punished based on their legality. Joe

Liberal logic has created hate crimes. Nothing but liberal politicians catering and promoting their class warfare. If you beat up a white man, that's ok. If you beat up a black man, well then you really screwed up and will probably get executed. Why should your life be valued less than someone else's? Same laws with have with teachers and postal employees. If you get killed, no big deal. But if you kill a teacher, then you have screwed up bigtime! With liberals, not all life is precious. Just some is more valuable than others based upon their voting preferences. Murdered unborn children don't get to vote....
