Zero, do you HAVE to start your reply by saying I am remarkably stupid??? My Mother is still alive and she's 84. She's as sharp as a tack and she remembers EVERYTHING. I can believe that dementia might run in your family so I won't debate topics that might cause you personal discomfort, but I happen to BELIEVE older ladies when they say things that relate to people and situations that I know they have FIRST HAND knowledge of. Maybe the older ladies in your family are devious in their politics and or simply TOO untrustworthy to represent the people in their past accurately. Both of which may help to explain your current thinking, but neither of which would make me think the fine lady in question is not absolutely truthful and accurate.
