UW, I believe that those NG vets that are happy with the promises from a liar like Kerry, are in a very small minority. I was in the Texas National Guard, and you get some recruits in there that are not soldier material. Many of those just want to play games, and collect an extra, though small, pay check. They, sometimes, send a bad image of the entire guard, when most of the troops are dedicated to the responsibility of helping to keep America free.
