James, It is a hoot to see Republicrooks trying to resurface the lie about what happened in Vietnam. The tiger cages at Con Son make Abu Ghraib look like Disney World. And the govt. lied about them the entire time, until the proof was so overwhelming they had to admit they existed and were pretty bad. The Massacre at Mai Lai was not an isolated incident. Of course not everyone committed atrocities. Some weren't even involved in black market operations or drug smuggling. But way too many were involved in atrocities and illegal activity to say that Kerry was telling anything but the truth. I will say that things were worse in 1972 than in 1965, so some outraged vets may simply have served at a time when we still thought we were doing something noble. But by 1968, this picture put the lie to the nobility. Many of our soldiers and Marines were noble, but our goals were questionable and our means flat out evil. Very similar to Iraq. treefort.org
