Democrats who call Zell Miller an angry "turncoat" and ignore his powerful (and accurate) speech to the RNC do so at their own electoral peril, imo.

The "powers that be" at the DNC reflect the wackos that have effectively hijacked that party: Michael Moore and the Irrational Left (particularly of the no-brain Hollywood variety).

Decent Democrats should use this opportunity to purge their party of such extremists by crossing over to the Republicans this November in large numbers; the bigger, the better.

Then they can rebuild their party with honest and credible candidates and offer a real alternative to the Republicans in '06 and '08.

There are several reasons for conservatives to gripe about President Bush, particularly on domestic policy, but there are no reasons to vote FOR John Kerry. And when it comes down to national security, Kerry is simply not a credible alternative to President Bush' steady and unwavering commitment to protecting Americans both at home and abroad--MK--
