It is a mistake to bring Allawi to the US to campaign for Bush. He is already identified in Iraq as a US lackey. Bringing him here just confirms the suspicion of the Iraqis that he is a US puppet.

<nation building of Iraq> ... will never happen ...

.......... It's not really a nation anyway.

There's civil war now in Iraq. That's all there is to it. Why we are over there engaged in their civil war is mindboggling.

We can't possibly do anything constructive in Iraq. We're only fomenting the problem and helping to create a new generation of terrorists.

Kerry can talk all he wants with Italians, Spaniards, French, and Russians. The US took the lid off the cauldron. What an arrogant, naive, and stupid move! How provincial! Saddam was keeping violent, angry interests at bay. He was certainly vicious. But he presented no serious threat to the US. Maybe a bit of a threat to Israel.

This is a disaster. It's just a matter of when we leave--and how we leave. No other country will ever send troops into this situation. There will be massive demonstrations in the streets of the US by the end of 2005.
