Re: I hope our Intelligence Agencies are watching this unfold. This is a resource that should be cultivated for emergency use. Like when a well-known reporter tells a lie to attempt to manipulate an election.

Hard part would be identifying the "trusted agents."

Hugh Hewitt has an interesting speculation: that the Rathergate scandal is gruesome for Kerry because it reminds everybody not to be duped by fakes, and Kerry is an inauthentic candidate. Perhaps. It would be hard to sort out the influence of 'Hurricane Dan' from all the other ways in which the Kerry campaign is going south.
