You're being lame now. You know exactly what I meant by respond. Kerry did not respond directly and immediately to the charges and he probably should have. He never went into response mode, but let weeks go by whereby he ended up in damage control mode. This was shown by the polls, where Bush was getting a lift from the convention and the negative ads by the shifty swifties. Had Kerry responded immediately and directly to O'Niell, the impact of those negative ads could have been neutralized. Orca
