How many hundreds of millions has Halliburton ripped off? Compared to how many billions Enron ripped off? These are Bush-cheney's two closest corporate allies. Between them they have ripped off tax-payers, consumers and stockholders for many billions using fraud and gouging. Why isn't this a major issue when we have 2 trillion in new Bush debt?

Well the chief of police jobs are political jobs, political appointments. In order to get elected it takes money. Anti-rights groups are more than happy to donate money to those campaigns. Its all politics. Its interesting when one starts interviewing the police officers at lower levels, they all support things like concealed carry permits and flat out say that the AWB was really misnamed and should have been called the rifle cosmetics ban. Thats what it was. What banning bayonets does to reduce crime is beyond me but thats what they went after. Whats frustrating about that is in rifle collecting, a single mismatched number or missing original piece drops the value of a collector's piece from say $2500 down to $1000 or less. Thats in a nutshell is why banning bayonet lugs on orginal pieces infuriates collectors. Its got nothing to do with crime and everything to do with ruining the collectible value.
