Oh. Then when you charge that Army troops tortured and degraded prisoners at Abu Ghraib, you are slandering the Army.

Of course not. The report just released shows that the decision to mistreat prisoners went deep into the Civilian sector of the Pentagon. Soldiers that were carrying out orders should not be blamed.

And when you charge that Bush did not fully complete the requirements for an honorable discharge, you are slandering the National Guard.

Of course not. What we are talking about is an individual, George Bush, and his actions. How did he get into the National Guard? Why did he miss his flight physical? Why didn't he show up for meetings? And how did he get that discharge? All of that would be available in his records...if they were truly made available.

In the case of O'Neill he is accusing the Navy of wrongly awarding medals, even though there were eyewitnesses that today say that O'Neill is wrong.
