What the terrorists want, the Sunnis, is a continuation of their control of the oil as the minority in the country at the expense of the majority Shiites. If they can't have that, they don't want anybody to have it and certainly not the Kurds or the Shiites. The Sunnis have nothing to offer besides a scorched earth policy. The Sunnis don't understand basic concepts that you and I understand..sharing, cooperation. To them its all about their own selfishness and pride.
