Malcom, all governments in the world would like to have a country like Saudi Arabia: 1) No need to extort taxes form the citizens 2) Citizens happy with government handouts and pseudo-jobs. 3) Easy money coming from oil to pay for handouts and pseudo jobs. 4) Citizens kept on the line by religion 5) US shelter it from the troubles of the neighbors (paid by oil.) 6) No democracy elections and other troubles like press and opposition This is the dream of any governing elite all over the world!!!
