I'm continually surprised that nobody mentions that Mapes interviewed and then ignored Killian's son and wife. Nothing confirms their agenda more than that they left out all information that contradicted their thesis.

<<" Burkett claims now that someone has killed his dog since he became the the focus of the story, and threatened his wife with rape.">> That is low!!! Why would anyone kill the poor dog? As for the wife-- such threats are uncalled for! She suffers enough just being around him.

(ot:parody) I think a movie about this would be a fitting footnote in Dan Rather's long and illustrious career..

Synopsis :

A comic-tragedy about vainglory in the highest echelons of main stream media, where a group of liberal activists attempt elaborate shenanigans to influence the outcome of the presidential election.

Starring : Drew Carey as Dan Rather, Ellen DeGeneres as Mary Mapes, Louie Anderson as Bill Burkett, Tim Allen as John F Kerry and John Pinette as Michael Moore.

Call it : Excess of Malice.
