Hehe. But, the use of BDS may confuse it with another known syndrome, the Bush Delusional Syndrome. Symptoms are: 1 - Complete loss of specific portions of memory. In most cases, the patient loses all memory of the original tenets of the Republican party, including but not limited to: fiscal responsibility; desire for smaller government; passionate need for less government interference in personal lives; disdain for nation building. 2 - Other memory symptoms include a rewiring of memory cells that causes memory of historical events to be distorted. Most cases show some revision of vast portions of American history, including: belief that the Vietnam war was winnable; belief that the American founding fathers wished to establish a theocracy; belief that Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War. Doctors believe that this rewiring of memory cells is brought on by flashing graphics of war planes and flags repeated viewed on FOX News. 3 - Pathological desire to increase the size of government in any way possible. Interesting side effect: patients report no recognition of the phrase 'balanced budget'. 4 - Complete breakdown of the reasoning portion of the brain that receives data and applies analytical analysis to produce results. Effect of this breakdown is inability to connect cause and effect, and to see how, for example, the government policies of the Bush administration result in numerous failures and negative outcomes. 5 - Corresponding to the decrease in memory and reasoning functions is an increase in the portion of the brain that responds to news personalities, specifically female blonde newscasters on a certain cable news network. Interestingly, this increase only occurs if the news personalities are blonde, not brunette or redhead, and only if the appear on a certain news network owned by Rupert Murdock. The only known cure for this deficiency is intense detoxification involving massive doses of ritalin with constant forced exposure of viewing of NASCAR, Wrestling Mania, and the Fishing Channel.
