Except for the part about liking Bush, I pretty much agree with you on every point. The Democrats have been nothing to write home about for quite a while. I think there are fundamental differences in basic world views between the two parties, and the ability to debate these honestly and openly is what has enabled U.S. democracy to endure for over 200 years. The problems can be worked out, but when campaign spending decides everything (as it does today) and crooks rule ON BOTH SIDES (as they do today) it makes it very difficult for the necessary honest populist dialog to take place. That's the corner we're wedged in IMHO. Bush certainly isn't going to do anything about THAT problem (nor is Kerry).
