Who knows what Kerry will do in Iraq, but it seems it certainly can't be any worse than what Bush is currently doing (and supposedly will continue for doing for 4 more years). Don't be silly. Kerry has said he'll pull out troops by a date certain. You don't think THAT's worse than anything Bush is doing? Bush undertood a tough job and yes, the current situation is a tough one. But he's sticking with it. For us to pull out now would be a horrible mistake. There is every reason to believe that five, ten years from now people can look back on Iraq and see that it was a good decision from the get-go. It is easy to criticize what Bush has done when we're in the middle of it -- wars are not pretty. Bush's biggest fault, IMO, has been his failure to articulate in detail how the strategy of war in Iraq is going to help the War on Terror. It will, it is obvious that it will, yet most Americans still don't get it. Bush has failed miserably in this regard. That Saddam didn't have a role in 9/11 doesn't imply that his removal can't play a role in eliminating future threats. I recognize he would never have gotten support for the war on this basis, but we're in there, and he needs to be explaining how this furthers the cause. It isn't fair to criticize Bush's handling of the campaign, however. It IS about marketing. That's what it takes to get elected, a simple fact of life. Successful campaigns aren't built on mind-numbing discussions of policy.

Some people would call them lies, but... factcheck.org factcheck.org factcheck.org factcheck.org factcheck.org factcheck.org factcheck.org factcheck.org There are more, I got tired of cutting and pasting. At the same site, you will find the Kerry campaign has its own share of distortions. But there are less of them and usually aren't out right fabrications.
