What we must do, and have done so poorly in doing, is to exert real leadership in winning the hearts and minds of people in the region. We are failing to do that by instead first and foremost resorting to our imposition of military solutions. We are not only aligned with Israel in the region, we now have lowered our standards of conduct to the same level as Israel. That makes us isolated and unable to provide any meaningful leadership in the region -- it is very, very sad.

Russian nuclear materials are NOT secure -- it should be our number one national security priority but instead is just something we do on the side as if it is nice to do when you can spare a little time and money.

As for terrorists, no country in the world supports the recruitment of terrorists more than does the United States of America -- we are swelling their ranks because we cannot provide leadership to capture hearts and minds, and our method of using our military drives everybody away from us.

Iranians are Persian, but as part of the broader Muslim world are inclined to be aligned with Arab political interests in the region in relation to key issues such as Israel.
