Funny thing, that's what happened to the fellow who Bush worked for while in Alabama. This fellow (forgot the name) got a tape of his opponent talking about bussing and altered it to make it seem like his opponent was FOR bussing (a no-no back then). He played the altered tape on the radio, and it damaged his opponent. Until that opponent found the original tape and played IT on the radio. Bush's guy lost big... Such tricks have been played big time by both sides, but their nature has changed in the internet age.
