CBS: <font color=blue>"Without Favoritism" <font color=black>

An LGF reader has forwarded several highly revealing photographs of a CBS News van—with anti-Bush material proudly displayed in its front window. Here’s what he wrote:
<font color=green>
Some friends and I were up at CBS yesterday afternoon taking some funny pictures for our website when a CBS News van pulled up with anti-Bush stuff in the window. We took several shots to prove where they were taken and we were sure to get the license plate in one of the shots. The CBS placard in the window is leaning on a Satan bobble head doll. How appropriate.<font color=black>

The documents were forged.
The source of these documents beyond Burkett is either Rather's daughter, Robin, as others have presumed, or some person with direct links to Kerry.
IMHO all this rather blather about the source is to divert the attention to the fact that he knowingly used fake docs to impugn the President of the United States.

Let me see if I'm understanding CBS. Burkett lied about where the documents came from to protect his top secret source. CBS's only sin was believing Burkett about how the documents came to be. Premise of story is still true.

Is that what I'm hearing here?

By not admitting he was solely responsible for this, Burkett has now kept alive the prospect of implicating DNC, causing further damage to Kerry.

Frankly, I have no idea if the DNC is involved, but Burkett clearly does not want to go down for this, and is willing to drag others down with him. That speaks volumes about his loyalty to the Kerry camp. A more courageous man is likely to just admit sole responsibility.

If the DNC and Kerry camp have nothing to do with this, they should just burn Bill Burkett and make an example of this sad little man.
