<It weighs 6.6lbs>

Actually, the 3000 model weighs 6.45 pounds and the 3200 model weighs 6.64, neither of which are in the thin and light category I believe (one being an XP-M and one being a 130nm A64), therefore, I would believe the model stated in the press release, a 3400, could weigh less or at the very least have a better battery life (90 nm).

Dan3: I think people are confused about the Acer Ferrari thin and light. I don't think it is on the Acer site. They have an AXP 2500+ (their Ferrari 3000), and an AMD64 2800+ (their Ferrari 3200). I see no sign of the Ferrari 3400, which uses the 90 nm A64 3000+ CPU. 6.6 lbs (the current A64 notebook weight) doesn't qualify as "thin and light", but I expect the newest model will weigh in well under that. Perusing the Acer site, I was struck by how muted the description of their one A64 model is - it talks about everything else before turning to the processor, and completely omits the 64 bit-edness. It is only described as "using the latest AMD technology - no speed, no model, no anything, and buried at that. It's so low key you have to wonder - check it out:
