Steve, Bush will have an easy time in the debates. All he needs to do is show "stubborn resolve" (as Newsweek puts it) when it comes to Iraq, while at the same time attacking Kerry on his Senate record. Kerry can highlight all of the negatives of Iraq as much as he wants, but it won't be news, nor will his promises to "do better." He won't be able to articulate a clear alternative, and thus he'll either fizzle out or run back to Vietnam. Tenchusatsu
