Rather confirms Burkett is the source. "He did not contact us. We contacted him."

This raises a big question - how did CBS hear about Burkett? Did a member of the Texas for Truth, DNC, or Kerry campaign refer CBS to him?

Rather: I must say personally, "I'm sorry." Heyward has ordered an independent investigation. The results of this investigation will be made faith. This was an error made in good faith.

One can only wish...the dots will eventually be connected and Mapes is joined at the hip with Dan, therefore Robin is a logical choice. I picked up the supposition from talk radio...just a supposition...a wishful one at that.
