LOL. I don't fear terrorism:

Killed by terrorists on 911: 3,000
Killed in car accidents: 40,000/year (from what I remember)
Heart disease kills: 400,000 MEN and 500,000 WOMEN each year
AIDS: 40,000,000 infected worldwide

If I lived in Iraq or Israel I would fear terrorism but not in the US. John Kerry is a pol. As with all pols he is addressing the only piece of real estate that Bush holds in American Public Opinion: fear of the unknown boogie man mostly with an arab-type look.

If he can nail George The Wimp Bush on this issue, he can win. Why did Rove love the SwiftBoat Campaign so much? He needed to trash Kerry's warrior (vs Bush's wimp) reality. If Rove had floated SwiftBoat later, say about early October he would have done better IMO.

Kerry can't be perceived as weak while so many Americans have lived through 3 years of being afraid of everyone (except their own government which they really should be afraid of).... it doesn't work that way. People don't care about analyzing the facts, they only want the soundbites around dinner time.

Sad but true and no one's going to change it this year. I like Joe Trippi's idea of an internet driven third party in 2008. Fine by me. More than one is fine by me also.
