Right on. Note that CBS still does not say "forgery."

Only that they cannot "prove" authenticity. This is a subtle suggestion that the documents still could be authentic. Hmmmm, lawyer-speak?

"I didn't knowingly pass a counterfeit $20 -- I just knew I couldn't prove it was authentic." Oh, okay. Case dismissed.

in that order?

btw, CBS will never voluntarily remove themselves or Schieffer from the debates

nor will they suspend Rather

that would admit by action they were fraudulent, partisan and biased

denial has many facets

and CBS will show them all

I have to say, it is insufficient to claim to be scammed, when your own experts warned you that the documents were unreliable. It was libelous on it face, considering that libel against a public figure requires malice: how could they have flouted their experts to such a degree unless they were eager to publicize damaging information about Bush, and thus malicious? Mapes has got to go, Rather needs at least some kind of censure........

This is an orchestrated assault on objective journalism by CBS staffers and executives. I expect a massive coverup.

"Mapes should be FIRED"

No sh*t. I think the dems would do well to fire Kerry too. Problem is that there is nobody in the party even as popular as Kerry is. Their boat is swiftly sinking, and nobody will be able to rescue them.

CBS should be taken off the air and sold at auction...
