Many have dual citizenship Do you have statistics to prove that? My personal experience suggests otherwise. Out of more than I hundred Americans I have met living outside the US, NONE had taken their host country's citizenship. because they have denounced their country (USA) but not their citizenship So you think living abroad for a couple of years for work reasons, for example, means you have "denounced your country". Really? I bet they vote in both places. OK, I accept your bet :-) Whatever you feel like parting with (i.e. your bet), feel free to send it in my direction when you fail to verify that statement ("Many American expats vote in both America and their country of residence"). [Let's say above 30% constitutes "many"].
