I don't adopt an ideology and then force the world to fit into it. That's not thinking, that's propaganda. I believe in balancing the budget and saving for the future, I believe in capitalism, I believe in people having guns if they like. I also believe in a social safety net, I believe in progressive taxation, I don't have a problem with gay marriage and I think all reference to ANY GOD should be out of ANYTHING publicly funded. I can also change my opinion about something if new facts arise. I doubt that I'm unique, the political parties and the media are unable to deal with complexity (look at the problem they all seem to have with nuance) since it's so much easier to pigeonhole people. Tough noogies. Just how effective is it to deal with people as if they can be neatly filed into a LIBERAL - LIBERTARIAN - CONSERVATIVE box?
