Iraqi militants claim Bush wants 'greater Israel' in Mideast B y The Associated Press and Haaretz Service Last Update: 21/09/2004 01:08 The narrator on a videotape apparently showing the beheading of an American in Iraq accuses U.S. President George W. Bush of create an Israel stretching through the Middle East. Bush has a "treacherous plan to establish the greater Israel to the two rivers [Euphrates and Tigris]," the narrator said. "Our blood and bodies is between you and your deceitful dreams, and you will see from the heroism of the sons of Islam what will not please you." The tape shows the apparent beheading of American construction contractor Eugene Armstrong, who was kidnapped along with two others from his home in Iraq last Thursday, by key terror suspect Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. While an anonymous U.S. official in Washington said Armstrong's body has been recovered, official sources have not confirmed his death. During the statement before the killing, the speaker said Tawhid and Jihad was taking revenge for women Iraqi prisoners and called Bush "a dog." "You, sister, rejoice. God's soldiers are coming to get you out of your chains and restore your purity by returning you to your mother and father," the speaker said. "We will not sheath our swords while one Muslim woman is still humiliated in your prisons," he said. Addressing Bush directly, the speaker said: "Now, you have people who love death just like you love life. Killing for the sake of God is their best wish, getting to your soldiers and allies are their happiest moments, and cutting the heads of the criminal infidels is implementing the orders of our lord." The speaker said America and its allies have reached "an unenviable state. Their feet are digging deep into a quagmire." "Today we make you [Bush] taste from the drink of disgrace so that you taste some of the insult you make our prisoners taste in your prisons all over the world," the speaker said. "The fate of the first infidel was cutting off the head before your eyes and ears. You have a 24 hour limit. Abide by our demand in full and release all the Muslim women, otherwise the head of the other will follow this one," he said.
