<<Many thought that Gore would hand him his head in the debates >>

Debate one, Gore snuffed, snorted and giggled like a 6th grade girl.
Debate two he had make up like a rodeo clown.
Debate three he put on Lurch boots and a Lurch suit and tried to sneak up on Bush when Bush was speaking.

Many people started thing who was this on stage.

Kerry won't make those mistakes. He'll get things so convoluted no one will know what he said. And probably blame it on someone else.

Kerry is a debater. All talk is debate talk. The 'objective' truth of any statement is not relevant. It's other debater's job to argue against it's validity.

It is perfectly fine to keep changing your mind or invent 'facts'. If your opponent doesn't counter --- you win. Only the process is judged, not the content --- most convincing argument wins. Assertions may be freely made. After all, both sides are equally valid.

Bush seems to have the odd idea that life is something other than debate. How retro!
