If Kerry reminds you of McGovern, then Bush must be Nixon, and Cheney is Agnew.

McGovern was a honest and distinguished war hero, Nixon was a crook, and Agnew was a tax evading corrupt felon. Nixon won using dirty Colson campaign tactics, such as spiking Muskie's coffee and the such.

Come to think of it, yours was an excellent analogy...
