1) My subjectmarks on the new interface are way out of date. Should they be the same ?

2) My filed PMs are not up to date either on the interface many recent ones are not there.

That, like most data, will not be brought current with the production site until this weekend.

3) If you are logged into the old interface you cannot log out of the new one until you go and log out from the old one first. I thought relogging in my sync my data in both systems.

BOB, there's a clue?!

MESSAGES POSTED THERE ARE NOT PERMANENT.

I assume this means that provided I have activated my account on the new interface the transfer program will find it and associate my data (from the old interface) correctly. Sorry if this has been addressed as I haven't been following any discussion on this...

It means that you can post there, but the posts will be deleted automatically each time the site imports messages from the Production site... about once per hour.

For everyone's benefit:

MESSAGES POSTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT SITE WILL BE DELETED, AND WILL NOT BE EXPORTED TO THE PRODUCTION SITE.

Consider any posts made there to be extremely temporary. Once deleted, they will never re-appear.

Hmmm... That's a side issue I hadn't anticipated, but you're correct. I won't address it because it'll go away on its own after the changeover.

What *should* be happening right now is that anyone who is logged in on this version of the site will find themselves logged in when they go to the new version, because I'm using a cookie that this version sets. It would seem that even if you log out of the old site, you're not really logged out because I'm still checking that cookie. I'm averse to clearing it lest it cause problems with access to this version.

My first task this morning will be to investigate what's happening with people showing as account level zero when they shouldn't be. It's not that they (we -- it's happening to me too) are losing their logged-in state. It's that the system is simply assigning them the wrong userlevel, and I think the cause just occurred to me as I was typing this.

Should be able to let you know in a few minutes if I was right.
