I think she has nailed the one worlder reality behind the do-gooder rhetoric. As far as do-gooders are concerned I agree with Thoreau, who said: "There is no odor so bad as that which arises from goodness tainted. It is human, it is divine, carrion. If I knew for a certainty that a man was coming to my house with the conscious design of doing me good, I should run for my life, as from that dry and parching wind of the African deserts called the simoom, which fills the mouth and nose and ears and eyes with dust till you are suffocated, for fear that I should get some of his good done to me -- some of its virus mingled with my blood. I agree, the article was very informative. I get very leery when I hear Bush say, "They hate us for our freedom". There must be some underlying reason for their hatred. We Americans love to think of ourselves as benevolent Samaritans whom the world loves. When someone hates and distrusts us, we can't seem to get our minds around a reason, so we assume it is because they are insane. Some of them ARE insane. But most have some legitimate reason, even if we don't agree with their reasoning. Until we start to recognize that reasoning, and deal with it, we'll continue to be in danger of attack.
