So, it's OK to ask other countries to put their troops under the operational control of US officers in the field, but it's not OK for us to say an officer from our ally Finland is in charge of a given operation involving US troops. Is that your position? "Don't put our military under a third world leader who doesn't know which end of the gun to fire." Hmm. I must have missed that proposal. Who said we should do that?
