Taikun, I didn't get the same sense as you then (Coxe's Basic Points) and the recent halt of Yukos shipments to China makes me think this is also about Putin exercising more might in Asia... Chinese hegemony may have been quietly extended as the Russian Bear rolled around in a stupor... Putin is the new sheriff in town, laying down the law.....
