The Four Gospels are one of the greatest testaments to universal love and a path to life that one could find. As to the rest? It doesn't do much for me, but I wouldn't call it a hate book. There is the Old Testament that for me applies to a people, place and time. And the rest of the New Testament is a certain group's take on the teachings of Jesus, to take or leave. I prefer to leave it, and stick to the Gospels with the teachings of Jesus. So, no, I don't consider it a hate book. I like Jefferson's Bible. He took the New Testament and stripped out everything but those things attributed to Jesus.
