Greetings Haqihana,

1John 5:10-13

10 ¶ He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Christians born of God, have Eternal Life and " hear " what the Holy Spirit says through the Word of God.

You do not hear bacause you do not have " ears " to hear from the Word of God.
Brian has shown you sufficient about the Word of God. If you were a Christian your spirit would have " Eternal Life " and would bear witness to the Word.

Christians have nothing to prove in and off themselves, We have been chosen by God before time began.............Salvation is a Gift to all whom God has chosen and made alive forevermore.

Grace and peace unto you,

Robert

You are absolutely right about the circular reasoning issue. If the Bible offered no proof of its words beyond quotations made from within it to support other statements from within it, then it is useless and it is lying. Proof is required for faith to be valid.

I have proof of the Bible's major claim and ongoing proof of many of its statements. That is what the Scripture means when its says, "To the Law and to the Testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." The Law (the word) has a testimony (proof) which validates it. People with only the Word (the Bible) that lack the proof of it are false witnesses of God. People with a testimony that lack scriptural basis are false witnesses of God as well. Both are required for validation, for they are one.

I had little use for the Bible until I met the risen Jesus of Nazareth. The validation of this major claim to me personally agrees with both those who know Him and with the Bible as well.

It is the Holy Spirit that witnesses with my spirit
that it is in fact the very Word of God.

To those without the spirit - it can never be proven

You assert that it is without proof.

Actually the many prophecies prove it to be true

but men like you simply claim the prophecies were written

after the events anyway - nothing can be proven to you.

You plainly profess to be Empiric but through the carnal
senses nothing is know of God - God is spiritual.

We can all see that you are not a Christian because while we
may debate about interpretation we have been taught of God
that His Word is reliable even in it's present form for the most part.

Mark 14:27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be
offended because of me this night: for it is written,...

Mark 1:2 As it is written in the prophets,...

Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written...

You are utterly void of all that is written...

What I want to know is why you insist on calling yourself
a Christian when your testimony is that you do not believe
Christ - who taught that scripture was authoritative.

Agnostic perhaps - Christian, not even close.

Brian
