Dell (DELL :Nasdaq - news - research) shares were flat early Tuesday after the tech leader reportedly backed third-quarter guidance.

The computer systems maker said it still expects to earn 33 cents a share on revenue of $12.5 billion.

The consensus estimates are for EPS of 33 cents and revenue of $12.54 billion, according to Thomson First Call.

"We haven't seen any reason to change that number and so from our standpoint that's kind of still holding on," Reuters quoted CEO Kevin Rollins as saying at a media briefing in Sydney Tuesday. "We believe that the corporate buying cycle that really started globally about three or four quarters ago continues, although modest," said Rollins.

The Round Rock, Texas-based company reports earnings Nov. 11.

Dell shares were unchanged at $35.08.
