That doesn't address the central problem with the UN: It's just an ineffectual debating society. Kofi Annan is a joke. Most of its members' leaders ought to have their faces on a poster in the Post Office. I think the Clintonistas want it that way, because I think Bill Clinton wants to become the Secretary General of the UN and to be seen as the one who pulled it out of the morass and to be the leader of the entire world, with the US as merely a constituent. Mark my post and my words.
