<<WHO is Lt. Col. Gerald A. Lechliter, and where does he live. >>
He is a retired Marine , which of course makes him fully qualified to understand and evaluate the procedures and regulations of the Texas Air National Guard despite the fact he had probably never seen one of their regulations.

Just out of curiosity, he took it upon himself with no encouragement from others (or says he did) to look into Bush's records and after what appears to have been 6 months or a year of work produced an incredibly detailed "document" filled with unsupported accusations of dereliction of duty by GWB and most of Bush's superiors in the TANG.

I think he overdid it with the last accusations, thats no way to get cooperation from higher-ups like Generals who signed the papers.

Mapes should have all of his 'data" and guesses laid out on spread sheet, along with the names of the many high-level TANG officers who signed the paperwork.

The woman is a hazard, she may take that data with her when she loses her office at CBS and if she cant "get" Bush, could try to get those Officers who approved all his paperwork and Honorable discharge.

Even if most of them are dead.

Why in the He$$ are we doing messing around with 32 year old records ? There are terrorists willing to destroy our cities.
