Hot Air, It's Not Just for Politicians Anymore

common sense & wonder

The folks at MoveOn are predictably blaming Bush for the strong hurricane season, due to, of course, his failure to support Kyoto (even though Clinton never attempted to have it ratified either). We have indicated in the past our questions about whether global warming is a real phenomena and if it is whether it is a man-caused phenomena. But let's leave those questions aside for now and ask whether current hurricane activity is a result of such warming.

Here's a short answer......

Where did American politicians pick up this rediculous gesture where they clentch their fist and point with their thumb. It's absurd. First one to do it that I can remember is Clinton. It's so annoying it's GOT to be European.

Very annoying. Politicians do that when they try giving the "thumbs up" too. What "real" person does that? Puts my teeth on edge. Very fake. You know there's some consultant in the background, giving proper thumb usage advice.

Well I use that gesture and President Reagan used it too. Just cause Kerry is now using it doesn't mean I'm going to stop.
