Read about your earlier generator woes. We lose power so often here, sometimes for very long periods, that I've got a shed next to the house that's for nothing but providing power to the house. Eventually with batteries and an inverter, but for now a 6.2KW generator and a 110-gallon fuel tank in the back of the truck that's always full in the winter for ballast and the generator. We've got a switch under the meter that's visible from the road so the linemen can see that we're not backfeeding the grid. I suspect that a huge challenge down there for the power companies is people backfeeding the grid and not knowing it. Good luck, levy, and I look forward to hearing how you've fared.
