What's been reported to me and I've personally observed is that PM's that were imported from the old site are back-trackable by clicking the "Who Wrote", but it's not true (yet) of PM's written on this version. I will be trying to fix that this weekend.

I assume you mean imported by means of folders, in which case what you say is true.

But not everyone was so anal as to put all PMs into folders. I did not always put all PMs into folders because I liked to access them easily. I often didn't have the time to place all PMs in a folder or create a new one for a particular topic. I knew they were available so I didn't worry about it.

I had a long-running, very fruitful, very enjoyable, discussion with S100 on many topics, telecomm being one of our mutual interests. The PMs dealing with telecomm are safely placed in a folder. However, other PMs dealing with many other topics which I didn't categorize are now gone. Unfortunately, so is Brad as he died a couple of years ago. I wanted to keep a record of our very enjoyable conversations, but it has unfortunately disappeared.

I am not sure that we were warned with sufficient vigor that something like what I describe could take place. Most of us have demanding full-time jobs, family lives, etc., and had little time to wade in detail through the specifics of the transition. In my case, I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that the unfoldered PMs would be saved. But I honestly don't recall seeing anything that suggested that such would be the case. Ditto the portfolios. Nonetheless, I am sure that you brought these points to our attention. If these items had been emphasized a bit more vigorously for the benefit of those of us who are often time-pressed, perhaps the result would have been different. If all of us were retired or unemployed, we no doubt have had plenty of time to have mastered these details. Not everyone fits that description.
