Bush's lies and failures are way too grand to compare him to Reagan in any way. Also, Reagan was much more popular than Bush around the world. Reagan was not arrogant. He also did not seek to divide the nation, divide allies and make fun of anyone who disagrees with his policies. Bush is no Reagan. He may try to copy Reagan sometimes, going so far as to buy a cattle-less ranch where he cuts brush for the cameras, but Bush is a smeckler, a smart aleck, a conniver, a cheat. He will even exploit 9-11 and God for his own political purposes. He is the used car salesman who has sold us a lemon and is trying to talk us into keeping it. Reagan was always Reagan and you knew where you stood with him. Reagan also had the courage to accept blame and even apologize. He apologized after Iran-Contra and after the Lebanon Marina barracks bombing. Bush acts like we should give him a big pass no matter how badly he fails and lies.
