Good morning EP,
The rising interest in the US in Canadian energy trusts will probably be partially thwarted by a cap of 49% or thereabouts. There are always good oil companies to buy, such as CNQ.TO and STO. These are not trusts.
Energy will continue to get more expensive. The only thing that could maintain most people's life style would be successful controlled nuclear fusion. Research on that has been going on for about 50 years. More brains are needed to throw at the problem.
Nobody knows whether it will succeed or not.
